It has been a long time since we last updated this blog. Do apologize for it.

Anyway , New year ..New start . We hope to keep all of you updated with the latest within the university.

Recently , The SEA Regional office participated in the British Council Exhibition in Bangkok Thailand, on the 2nd and 3rd Feb 2008. The British Council also organised a Alumni Dinner on the 2nd of Feb.

Tan E-Jan, graduated from Middlesex University, holding a B.A (Hons) in Music (Piano Performance). She is grateful to all the tutors from Orangery, Trent Park, who provided wholesome guidance.

As soon as she came back to her home country, Malaysia, a book of her own writings about London was published.

July 2006, in conjunction to the conference of International Society of Music Education (ISME), she performed with the Operafest Childrens Choir in the Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS, Plenary Theatre KLCC, Securities Commission, appeared together on stage were choirs from all over the world, including USA, Norway and Finland.

She is currently lecturing, teaching, writing and performing back in Kuala Lumpur. Her articles appear regularly in local newspapers as well as in Taiwan and Thailand. Upcoming events include “The Yellow River” Piano Concerto, where she was invited to perform in Beijing, China during August 2007 and San Francisco, early December 2007.

NG CHOR GUAN, an upcoming music composer was born in Klang, Malaysia.

He is proud to have studied music composition under Dr. Francois Evans and Dr. Peter Fribbins at Middlesex University, London.. He was awarded The Yamaha Asian Scholarship to pursue his undergraduate at the university.

While in London, his composition was collaborated with film director Mr. Hashimoto’s in a series of films making. Both of them also created MUVI (Music Video) recorded with modern dancer Minori. In Autumn 2005, these works were premiered in Tokyo.

In November 2006, he composed music and designed sound effect for 912 Theatre Production’s play “Antigone” at MCAP, KL. In Early 2007, the score and sound effect in the play “ Okiku" , was again successfully performed at KLPac, Pentas 2, which is presented by Tourniquet Productions.

In early April 2007, his music has been collaborated with Nyoba Kan’s multi-sensory arts and installation “The Curse of the Forbidden Palace” at Central Market @ Annexe.

May 2007, he was invited to RTM (Radio Television Malaysia) "Ai" FM to talk about his music composition and 3 cd albums which he produced and composed since Oct 2006.

Ivana Atmojo holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Middlesex University in London—the youngest who graduated with a High Distinction. She also studied image and became the first Indonesian with an international image consulting certification (AICI).

She is currently working on a charity musical production (as production designer, wardrobe & makeup) to be staged this June 2nd 2007
